The database on Tea is compiled from the official publications of The Tea Board,Government of India, “The Tea Statistics” and “Tea Digest”. The Tea Statistics is available for the period 1956 to 1977 then from 2000 to 2003. Thereafter this publication was discontinued. The Tea Digest is available for the period 1992 to 2004 intermittently. We have updated the relevant and available information for recent years from the official website of Tea Board. In this database variables relevant for tea production, processing and marketing are included.
